DESCRIPTION:Portraitconcert Javier Quislant Garcia \n   March 2\,\n20.00 - \n20.00 \n RadioKulturhaus Wien\, Vienna\, Austria \nJavier Quislant was born in Bilbao\, Spain in 1984 and lives in Getxo\, Spain.\nHe studied at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and completed both master’s degrees in music theater and composition with Beat Furrer at the University of Art in Graz. He has worked with numerous international ensembles\, received awards and honors and is also President of the Composers’ Union of the Basque Country. \nHe describes himself as a composer who\, from a contemporary perspective\, creates music for a variety of formations\, ranging from string quartets to ensembles and symphony orchestras. In doing so\, he also combines the traditional tonal use of instruments or voices with electronic elements.
